How Long Does My Hair Need to be?
Firstly your hair should be at least 4 inches long if it is straight and at least 2 inches long if it is tightly curled. Length is important so that the hair will not have to be braided too tightly in order to stay in place.
Maintenance and Cleaning
To keep your new cornrows in the best condition and make them last, use a silk or satiny pillowcase to cover your hair while you sleep. This will help them last longer and protect them from getting frizzy.
When washing hair with cornrows, we suggest using a wide-toothed plastic comb, a waterpick dental cleaner, or a shower massager set to a light pulse. This will allow you to clean the hair without unravelling the cornrows.
